Children developed their own video games at the Hack4Kids special “Game of Code” edition

SECURITYMADEIN.LU organized a Hack4Kids event in the frame of “Game of Code” - a unique Luxemburgish Hackathon which gathers a hundred of professional and enthusiastic developers from all around Europe - on Saturday 17th March 2018. This special edition gathered around twenty children aged from 7 to 12 years old and taught them how to improve and cutomize a “Space Invaders” game based on the Scratch plaftorm. In order to cutomize their game, children were proposed to create their own structures with corn petals, take a picture of them to integrate them in the game. Children who did not want to follow the workshop’s program developed explored Scratch themselves and developed their own game. On the whole, the workshop was really appreciated and we look forward to organize a similar edition at the next-year Game of Code event.
