A 2nd successful edition of Hack4Kids event at Deloitte Luxembourg
After a first successful Hack4Kids event organized last year at Deloitte (https://hack4kids.lu/events/Hack4Kids-v16-Deloitte/), Deloitte’s Corporate Social Responsibility department, satisfied by the latter, decided to renew this enriching experience in collaboration with SECURITYMADEIN.LU on Saturday 3rd February 2018. This edition, again relying on Code Club Luxembourg dedication, was actually very similar to the last year’s Hack4Kids event (to know more about the workshops, check this link: https://hack4kids.lu/events/Hack4Kids-v16-Deloitte/) except that 2 new activities were introduced:
-
a pseudo-code dance activity that made children dance on a choregraphy set up as a programming language,
-
a workshop called “Crazy robots: from R2D2 to connected devices” which aimed at raising awareness about the gap in between web services’ marketing speeches and the abusive reality of their end-user license agreements.
Overall, this event gathered around 80 Deloitte employees’ children aged from 4 to more than 14 years old. Like last year, members from the Code Club Luxembourg helped supervise the different workshops targeting children and, for the first time, professionals from Deloitte Cyber Risk team organized and gave the Advanced Network Game workshop after having followed a special training given by SECURITYMADEIN.LU. In parallel, other members from the Cyber Risk team hosted a workshop for adults on cyber security awareness and best practices as well as Q&A sessions.
